My first week in Greece has been an unforgetable experience. Each day has been a new adventure filled with fun yet informative tours of different monuments and museums. My favorite site so far was the Temple of Posiden becuase it was the first site we visited. I will never forget walking up and seeing just how big it actually is. This temple was constructed from marble and is located on Cape Souion. The temple consisted of 16 colums which were built skinner at the top to make it appear taller. Since Posiden is God of the Sea, Cape Souion, where the temple is located, was thought of to be a sacred place for sailors and other fisherman. Miles and miles of coastline can be seen from the temple which enhances the experience even more. Although I'll remember this temple the most, I have enjoyed and learned so much in this short week.
